An Abundance of Culture
NAIDOC Week 2026
When we doubt how powerful and deadly we are, we only need to look toward nature. The rivers keep flowing. The tides continue to rise and fall. The trees stand strong through every season. Nature reminds us that abundance is not rare, it surrounds us.
An abundance of culture is like a thriving landscape, rich, diverse, and vibrant. It is a wealth of traditions, arts, knowledge, and social practices that have grown over generations. Not measured in money, but in story, connection, and wisdom passed from Elders to youth.
Like many streams feeding one river, diverse histories and perspectives strengthen the whole. Culture moves with the seasons, guided by land, sea, sky, and spirit. It lives in ceremony, language, resilience, and kinship.
This artwork honours Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as part of this living ecosystem where people and Country are deeply interconnected.
As we celebrate 50 years of NAIDOC we acknowledge that an abundance of culture, is abundance of life; enduring, powerful, and forever rooted in nature.
