Boobie Sista

"This piece represents the ongoing support women give each other when suffering with breast cancer.4 years ago, my best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. Not being able to take no for an answer, I shaved my head with her and raised some money for herself and her family to go on a holiday once treatment was all over. Amazingly, she beat the cancer and is now living her life to the fullest. We came up with this piece together. The circle represents the meeting space for all women battling this illness. The rainbow shapes around the circle represent the women and all the people that helped them through this rough time. Women supporting women in a very special way."

FAQ

Show your company, team or organisation's support and respect for First Nations culture with this gorgeous and practical merchandise item.

Yarn is proud to partner with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) and Kombumerri and Butchulla artist Zowie Baumgart to introduce our limited-edition collection ‘Boobie Sista’. For each product sale from this collection, Yarn is donating $2 to NBCF to support world-class breast cancer research.

‘Boobie Sista’ features artwork that tells the story of her best friend Kelly’s experience with breast cancer and the sisterly social networks that supported her during treatment and recovery. It captures the bond between women and how this incredible strength can help us through difficult times.

Designed with practicality and longevity in mind, our Insulated Water Bottles are a refined choice for corporate gifting, merchandising, or everyday use across the workplace. Ideal for staff packs, conferences, or end-of-year hampers, they offer a perfect balance of usability and design.

Crafted from high-quality stainless steel with double-walled insulation, each bottle keeps beverages hot or cold for up to 12 hours, ensuring lasting freshness throughout the workday or commute. The secure screw-on lid prevents leaks, making it a reliable companion for busy schedules and travel.

Each bottle is locally decorated in Meanjin (Brisbane) using long-lasting UV printing that showcases authentic First Nations artwork. By choosing these, your organisation supports local production, artist royalties, and ongoing community impact, while delivering a thoughtful, art-inspired alternative to traditional end-of-year gifts.

Printed In-House & Supporting Employment and Training

Over the last decade we have expanded and refined our in-house printing facilities and production capabilities. This allows us to create local jobs and training, and enables us to offer quick turnaround times for branded products.

Our printing facilities go beyond being mere production centres; they are testimonies to the success of our Indigenous Employment and Training initiative. Today, skilled First Nations printers, who have received comprehensive training, are at the helm of our printing operations. Choosing Yarn supports these talented printers, allowing their skills and work to shine and contributing to a growing skillset.

"My hope is that people wearing these pieces will feel empowered and inspired. I’d like to think they feel a sense of pride, connection, and radiating positive energy.”
